Welcome to the ROE PARK RESORT

North Coast Resort Boosts £2.5million Investment Strategy with Major rebrand.

As part of a £2.5million investment strategy in the Radisson Blu Roe Park Resort, Limavady, the resort will rebrand in 2012 changing its name to the Roe Park Resort.

The award winning Roe Park Resort, formerly a franchise partner of Radisson Blu, is the only 4 star resort on the North Coast. The resort this week celebrated the launch of the rebrand alongside the latest Hotel Performance Index figures that show it is outperforming the market, achieving occupancy rates well above the Northern Ireland average.

The Roe Park Resort has invested £1.9m on capital projects during the last three years as part of an ongoing development programme. This investment includes the creation of five luxury suites within the 18th Century Manor House, refurbishment of 50 bedrooms, revamp of the Coach House Brasserie and Roe Park Suite, and further redevelopment of the 18 hole parkland golf course including the creation of a Junior Academy.

The resort has also developed its online presence and increased online business with a new website and social media campaign further strengthened by a mobile website and a user-friendly booking engine.

In 2012 the hotel plans to invest a further £600,000 in upgrading all remaining bedrooms and further development of the Spa.

Speaking of the rebrand General Manager, George Graham said: “This rebrand marks an exciting new chapter for the Roe Park Resort. For 16 years we have been growing with the Radisson brand, with sales topping £20million in the last three years. We believe the time is now right for the Roe Park Resort to move forward as an independent brand. As a major contributor to the local area we employ over 200 staff at peak season and inject over £4.5million annually into the local economy. This rebrand and investment strategy marks our
further commitment to the area and our continued guarantee to deliver a quality experience to our guests.

“The resort is currently outperforming the market and we are confident this success will continue as we meet the increasing demand for short breaks and ‘stay-cations’. We also aim to capitalise on growing tourism figures and the major upcoming tourist events in the North West and the North Coast including Derry City of Culture 2013, the new Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre and the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.”

The Roe Park Resort also expects to benefit from the proposed plan to bring the Irish Open to Northern Ireland. Mr Graham concluded, “Being the only 4 star Golf and Spa Resort on the North Coast, we are ideally placed, both in terms of geography and facilities, to support such a major golfing event coming to Northern Ireland.”

The Roe Park Resort has 118 ensuite bedrooms and 7 conference rooms along with the Fairways Leisure Club with indoor pool and fitness suite; The Spa at Roe Park; Greens Restaurant; The Coach House Brasserie and Golf facilities including an 18 hole parkland golf course and driving range.
