Sticky Toffee Pudding with Toffee Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of dates
- 900ml of water
- 3 tea spoons of baking soda
- 1 lb 2oz of flour
- 1 lb 2oz of sugar
- 5.5 oz margarine
- 6 eggs
Directions:
- Put the dates in water, and place in sauce pan and bring to the boil. (allow to cool
- Whisk the sugar and margarine together until light and fluffy
- Add the baking soda to the flour
- Fold the flour and baking soda mix into the sugar and margarine mix
- Add the cooled dates to the mixure.
- Pour into well greased tin
- Bake for 35 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius (until firm to touch)
