Making Wishes Come True

Roe Park Resort Announces Charity Partnership with Make-a-Wish Foundation

The Roe Park Resort, Limavady, has announced a charity partnership with Make-a-Wish Foundation® UK (NI), a children’s charity which grants magical wishes to young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Make-a-Wish has granted more than 8,500 magical wishes over 26 years across the whole of the UK from ‘meet and greets’ with celebrity heroes and bedroom makeovers to family holidays abroad and surprise days out.

The aim is to provide a positive distraction from ongoing medical treatment and a focus for children living with serious illness. Supporting the charity’s fundraising programme, the Roe Park Resort is providing a number of luxury hotel breaks, spa treatments and golf outings for charity auctions. Guests and staff at the Roe Park Resort will also be invited to donate to Make-a-Wish through a number of initiatives such as collections in the hotels, charity fundraising events and other staff-driven activities.

Samantha Ferguson from the Roe Park Resort said: “We are delighted to announce Make-a-Wish Foundation as our charity of the year. The Roe Park is a family-focussed hotel and we hope to make a difference to the lives of children and their families across Northern Ireland by raising much needed funds and hosting luxury breaks for those with life-threatening conditions.” Gail McKee Volunteer and Community Fundraising Manager from Make-a-Wish Foundation said: “We are delighted to have Roe Park Resort as one of our Charity Partners here in Northern Ireland and look forward to working with them and supporting them in their fundraising events. Last year we granted 68 wishes to children and young people here in Northern Ireland fighting life-threatening conditions and this simply would not have been possible without the support of local companies like Roe Park Resort.”
