Newlyweds Album Snaps up Photography Award

A newlywed couple from Ballymoney, Mark and Esther-Ruth Crymble are in bliss as their wedding album has been voted the best in Northern Ireland at the recent Professional Photographers Association of Northern Ireland (PPANI) awards.

The album, photographed and designed by Peter Thomas Photography, was judged by leading photographers from around the country and the prestigious award was presented to the photographer at a gala awards dinner in the Slieve Donard Hotel. Based in Belfast, Peter Thomas Photography, who also won ‘Reportage Photographer of the Year” and 2012 Portrait Photographer of the Year, is in demand across the UK and Ireland.

Married in July 2012 in Portstewart, Mark and Esther-Ruth celebrated their reception at Roe Park Resort, Limavady. Settling into married life, Esther-Ruth loves her album and the many unforgettable memories Peter captured. She explains:

“It was our dream wedding. We were so pleased with how the day went and Peter not only captured the day, but really added to it. We loved our photographs and when we received our album I could not put it down. It is great to see all of Peter’s hard work being recognised.”

Sinead McElhinney from the Roe Park Resort also commented:

“We are delighted for Mark & Esther-Ruth, and also for Peter Thomas Photography. It’s a beautiful album with stunning photography from the hotel, local beaches and gardens.”

Simon O’Neill, president of the PPANI congratulates Peter saying:

“Peter is one of Northern Ireland’s up and coming photographers. He really deserves this award and everyone at the PPANI is delighted.”

Former Portrait Photographer of the Year, Peter Thomas took home a number of awards on the night, with Best Album of the Year being the one he is most proud of. He highlights:

“Getting to capture beautiful weddings each weekend for couples like Mark and Esther-Ruth is a dream and seeing the images together in an album is always exciting for me. It inspires me to know that their album will be cherished for generations to come.”
