Roe Park Resort Celebrates 20th Anniversary

The Roe Park Resort, Limavady is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a luxury hotel this month. Since the resort opened in June 1995 it has attracted over a million overnight guests and invested over £3million in renovations in the past 5 years.

Situated at the edge of the Roe Valley Country Park, the resort was once a historic 19th Century manor house which was redeveloped and in 1995 opened as a luxury 4-star resort with 64 bedrooms, two restaurants, golf course and leisure facilities.

Over the past 20 years, the resort has expanded to meet the needs of increasing visitor numbers by expanding both restaurants, adding an additional 54 bedrooms and introducing the Spa at Roe Park.  Since 2013, the Roe Park Resort has invested over £750,000 in refurbishments, with the golf facilities and bedrooms receiving the majority of this investment.

The most notable updates include the restructuring of the last three greens of the golf course and the introduction of a state-of-the-art Golf Academy, providing members and guests with the latest in golf technology.

George Graham, General Manager at Roe Park Resort said,
“We’re delighted to be celebrating our 20th anniversary. The past two decades have been a pivotal time for tourism in Northern Ireland and the recent success of our local golfers and growing TV and film industry have further boosted local tourism.
“The success of the Roe Park Resort is a direct result of the emphasis we place on investing in the resort and making sure our guests receive a luxurious and relaxing stay at the hotel. Our location close to the North Coast is also a key factor and, as well as our own superb golf course, we are in close proximity to some of Ireland’s most renowned links courses.” continued Mr Graham.
