The Roe Park Resort, Limavady has just completed an investment of over £100,000 in its golf course. The announcement follows a £300,000 investment in 2015 to redevelop parts of the resorts prestigious golf course.
The Roe Park Resort has contracted esteemed golf course architects, Westenborg Golf Course Architecture to carry out the latest course renovation which will be ready for the start of the 2017 season. Marc Westenborg is synonymous with high quality golf course architecture and has designed golf courses for a number of the prestigious Open Championships.
This latest investment has seen the 6th hole being redeveloped with the addition of a new tee box and a multi-tier green. The work was carried out by DAR Golf Construction whose innovative SportBond bunker liner has been introduced to keep the bunker in top condition and player friendly all year round. The liner allows water to filter through the sand and into the SportBond layer eliminating sand wash, soil erosion and flooding.

In 2015 the Roe Park Resort invested £300,000 in the course which included the last three greens being reconstructed to improve play and create a more challenging finish to the course. The golf course redevelopment also included a multi-tier finish on all greens and introduced additional bunkers throughout the fairways to give players a more competitive game.

We are always striving to deliver the very best golfing experience and this latest investment in refurbishing the 6th hole will add to our offering, providing golfers with a challenging and competitive course.”

The Academy at the Roe Park Resort is a Northern Ireland-based centre of excellence designed to provide the best possible facilities to help golfers improve their game, whether an absolute beginner or the next Rory McIlroy.
The facilities at the Academy include a driving range with 10 indoor and 8 outdoor bays, chipping, bunker area and putting green. The Academy also features an indoor studio using the latest technology in V1 Video Analysis Software, FlightScope Launch Monitor and E6 Simulator software, which is paired with the knowledge of experienced PGA Professionals to provide a unique method to analyse each individual's swing.

The system records each player's lessons so that changes to set up or swing can be easily identified in the future.”
